I am delighted that you have expressed an interest in applying to be the Head of Registration at the Architects Registration Board (ARB). This is a key role within our organisation as the Register is at the heart of our regulation of 42,000 architects. You will report to me and work as part of the Operational Management Group (OMG), which is ARB’s senior leadership group. As part of OMG you will work collaboratively with other senior members in the organisation to ensure the success of ARB. You will attend and contribute to the Board, which early last year became 11 members, all of whom are appointed by the Privy Council. As Head of Registration, you will lead and develop a dedicated team to ensure that the Register is accurate and accessible to both architects and members of the public. You will be joining an organisation that sets very high standards, is committed to a culture of continuous improvement and recognises that collaboration is key to delivery. Critical to your success will be the desire to uphold our staff values of being positive, brave, supportive and honest, to be an expert and striving to do better.
You will have an understanding of regulatory and legal frameworks, a wide experience of IT systems and have successfully delivered a critical process led business function. You will have excellent people skills and be able to lead and develop people and act as an ambassador for ARB.
