REC - Jobs Recovery tracker - latest

In May 2020 the REC launched the Jobs Recovery Tracker, which aims to help recruiters, businesses and policymakers see how the jobs market is evolving as the economy recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This research uses job postings data, provided by our partner Emsi, to spot signs of growth in different local areas and occupations across the UK. We will be updating this data regularly during the coming months to show where the hiring hotspots are, and what job roles are in high demand.

The latest Jobs Recovery Tracker reveals that there were 129,000 new job adverts posted in the UK in the week of 14-20 September, the highest since lockdown measures were introduced. This meant the total number of job postings in the UK continued to rise to 1.21 million.
