Case Studies and Testimonials
As part of Thewlis Graham Associates’ commitment to professionalism and quality assurance, we conduct post-assignment audits. We employ an independent consultant to question both clients and candidates (both successful and unplaced) and give feedback on their experience with Thewlis Graham Associates. The responses to these questions help shape the way we work. We also ask on a scale of one to ten would you recommend Thewlis Graham Associates. It’s good to know that in the last 18 months everyone asked has indicated a score of 8 or above.
An excellent experience - the feedback at the end of the process was also very good, which I received from Sarah Thewlis. They are very, very professional.
Sarah and her team were excellent from start to finish and I am so pleased that we have the right person in Chambers to take forward. TGA clearly did their job to a really high level.
Sarah was in charge and permanently on the ball. She even sent me a 'Well done' card when I was successful and she also sent me a text before the interviews - it was really personal and felt like she wasn’t just 'doing a job' - she was actually being really interested and this was really appreciated.
A professional but personal experience where I felt that I was challenged to demonstrate my key attributes, supported with clear strategic questions and dialogue making me relaxed enough to expand on my professional and personal qualities to meet the role.
The organisation is small enough to form a strong personal brand and relationship with the client – I valued this a great deal and found it very useful.
Looking for your next role can be both exciting and somewhat daunting. From the moment I was introduced to Sarah Thewlis I knew I was in safe hands. Sarah was supportive, honest and fair. Sarah genuinely cares about ensuring the right candidates get in front of the right organisations. She understands what her clients are looking for and acts with empathy and integrity with candidates, ultimately saving everyone time and effort. I really cannot fault the process she managed and would look no further than Thewlis Graham when recruiting senior roles in the future.
The TGA team is cheerful and upbeat. I found this to be a positive experience and areas for my development were discussed with me and I received advice on how to impress upon the client my specific skill set. It is the most professional recruitment agency I have dealt with.
It was a very positive experience and I was really happy. Sarah Thewlis was really professional, knew her stuff and gave good feedback. This was the best experience I have ever had with a Recruitment Agency. Some agencies try to 'woo you in' but I felt it was really about getting the best candidate for the client.
Fantastic - couldn’t have been better. It was an extremely good process and I was particularly pleased as I had persisted in getting professional recruiters for the job. We hadn't done this before and I had some opposition initially but now we know we would want this for roles that may become vacant in the future. The process proved its worth and it was felt that this was value for money.
I was impressed that TGA didn't treat me like other recruitment agencies. A very good experience - very constructive, efficient and they got me to move jobs when I hadn't for 10 years - speaks for itself!
Overall, I thought this was excellent, bearing in mind that we had never used an agency before and so this was our first experience - I thought they were excellent.
Very satisfied and very pleased to work with them - so pleased they contacted me! A very positive experience - the recruitment process can sometimes be quite tricky, but TGA were very professional and made it easy.
Utterly professional, super helpful and very thorough - exactly what we needed.
Dealing with Sarah directly was very professional, open and honest, which I appreciated. She knew what IAPCO was looking for, which was very important when speaking with candidates and it was easy for me to have conversations with her as she had the answers - if she didn't know an answer, she got it from the Council.
I’ve applied for two roles through Thewlis Graham and in both cases the experience was extremely positive, not only did I get that real understanding of what I would be getting into but I was given really useful constructive feedback which will help me applying for other roles in the future.
I was really pleased and encouraged by my interactions with Rachel and Sarah. I particularly appreciated their professionalism and also kindness. Even though I wasn't successful at the client interview, Sarah's debrief was very detailed and thoughtful - which allowed me to have useful take away for future interviews. Thanks again!
I was impressed with the personal attention and advice I received, and the professional, straightforward and efficient way in which Thewlis Graham handled my application. It was particularly good that they spent time after I failed to land the role I was applying for telling me where I had fallen short and how to improve my chances next time round.
Giving confidence to all of those participating in the appointment process and building a sense of effective team collaboration, as well as attracting very strong candidates and a significant number of applications for each post.
We used Thewlis Graham to select a new board member/co-treasurer. This was a broad brief as our organisation has an international reputation and is active in many different areas including being a major think-tank. From the start the firm hit the ground running. They took the hard work away from us by helping us define our needs and then working with us to design the competence framework. They put forward an excellent and diverse Longlist allowing us to interview a very strong set of candidates. They stayed with us throughout this process and until the new candidate was in place. We have been greatly impressed with how they have handled every aspect of our assignment.
