Council of Deans announces the appointment of chair and board of trustees

The Council of Deans of Health has announced the appointment of a new Board of Trustees. Professor Brian Webster-Henderson, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Health, Environment and Innovation) at the University of Cumbria, has been appointed for a second term as Chair alongside a new board of twelve trustees as the Council identifies itself as a registered charity.

Professor Webster-Henderson said:

“I feel very honoured to have been appointed for a second term as Chair of the Council at this important stage of its history. The role of the Council has never been more important as we continue to work to place higher education at the heart of healthcare policy. The next year will see the Council continue its journey to becoming an independent charity with a new governance model that will support its continued growth. I look forward to working with the new Board of Trustees as we develop the future strategic direction of the Council”.
