ARB is the statutory regulator of nearly 39,000 architects. We have a central role in upholding public confidence in the profession by setting and quality-assuring standards of education, ethics, and competence. The Grenfell Tower tragedy of 2017 continues to cast an appalling shadow across the built environment, and it underscores the vital importance of safety, ethics, and professional accountability. It continues to shape our work and reinforce the importance of robust regulation in the sector.
The Director of Policy and Communications is a key member of our Senior Leadership Group. As we continue to make progress with an ambitious Corporate Strategy and goal to becoming a high performing regulator, we are looking for an outstanding individual to lead the policy and communication function which will includes the following elements:
- Review what strategic engagement looks like with the profession, clients and the public.
- Build on high-quality and versatile consultation processes.
- Support better collaboration between standards/policy, operational teams and the policy development function.
- Consider how we should perform evidence-based evaluation.
- Lead on EDI both externally and within our culture.
